"Sal Champlin has been singing for a long time and kickin' butt on stage since she was in high school, somewhere around the late 1800's. She had an opera coach who had her singing in German, Italian and French. I was hoping for salad dressings from those places, but noooooo! Just that damn opera stuff. Anyway, it took long enough, but she's finally embraced R&B and Gospel, whew! One more "Kum Susser Todd" or whatever and I was gonna hurl. Anyway, she's also found herself in one of the all-time underground cult movies, Ed Gein, which is a zany little piece about one of America's earliest and weirdest serial killers, the feel-good movie of the summer. Great movie. Anyway, we grew up somehow and here we are - bad mofo's."
